Privacy Policy

CertainGoal ("we", "our", or "us") is a product operated by Alllearn Solutions Private Limited, a company incorporated in India (CIN available on request). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at certaingoal.com and app.certaingoal.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

Account information — your name and email address when you sign up
Goal and task data — goals, KPIs, tasks, and notes you create in the app
Payment information — billing is handled entirely by Paddle (our payment processor). We do not store your card details.
Usage data — how you interact with the app (pages visited, features used) to improve the product

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the CertainGoal service
To personalise your experience and generate AI-assisted goal plans
To send essential product emails (e.g. account confirmation, billing receipts)
To improve and develop new features
To comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States.

4. AI Processing

When you use AI features (goal plan generation, task suggestions, progress analysis), your goal and context data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This data is used solely to generate your requested output and is not used to train Anthropic's models per their API terms.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase — database and authentication
Anthropic Claude API — AI features
WorkOS — authentication for the optional AI-assistant connector
Paddle — payment processing and subscription management
Vercel — hosting and deployment

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and data handling practices.

6. AI Assistants & Connectors

CertainGoal offers an optional connector that lets third-party AI assistants (such as Claude) access your CertainGoal data on your behalf. The connector is available only after you sign in and explicitly authorise it via OAuth, and you can revoke that authorisation at any time from the AI assistant. Once authorised, the connector can — at your direction — read your goals, tasks, KPIs, and projects, and create or update goals. Access is limited to your own account and enforced by database row-level security; the connector performs no deletions. Data you ask the assistant about is transmitted to the assistant's provider only as needed to fulfil your request, subject to that provider's privacy policy. Authentication for the connector is handled by our processor WorkOS.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (as listed above) or if required by law.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Export your data in a portable format

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for authentication sessions and remembering your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

CertainGoal is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
